What Is Ketamine?

Ketamine has been used as an anesthetic for over 50 years. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, research revealed its remarkable ability to rapidly reduce depressive symptoms—especially in individuals who had not responded to traditional antidepressants.

Unlike SSRIs and SNRIs that target serotonin, dopamine, or norepinephrine, ketamine works through glutamate modulation, activating pathways that restore and strengthen neuronal connections.

Ketamine and esketamine act primarily on:

IV Ketamine Infusion Therapy

The Most Rapid and Precise Delivery Method

  • IV ketamine therapy involves the direct administration of ketamine into the bloodstream at carefully calculated, sub-anesthetic doses. Infusions occur in a controlled clinical environment, ensuring superior absorption, fast onset, and consistent therapeutic response.

    Typical Infusion Course:

    • 6 infusions over 2–3 weeks (loading phase)

    Each session lasts 40–60 minutes, with continuous monitoring for safety and comfort.

How Spravato® Works

Sublingual Ketamine Therapy (Lozenge)

Convenient. Non-Invasive. Effective.

Sublingual ketamine involves placing a ketamine lozenge, pill, or liquid beneath the tongue, where it absorbs through the oral mucosa to enter the bloodstream.
